  • Certificate of authenticated seal impression for purpose of vehicle transfer, or certificate verifying the authenticity of signature for purpose of vehicle transfer
  • Transferor’s sealing (authenticated seal) on vehicle transfer certificate
  • ※ In case certificate verifying the authenticity of signature for purpose of vehicle transfer is issued, signature in identical handwriting with that on the certificate verifying the authenticity of signature on vehicle transfer certificate, rather than sealing (authenticated seal)
  • ※ Form of vehicle transfer certificate can be downloaded and printed from Mapo Borough Office website
  • Vehicle registration certificate
Transferee Foreigner registration certificate, liability insurance subscription

Transferee
  • Copy of front and back of foreigner registration certificate (confirming stay period and domestic residence)
  • Liability insurance subscription
  • Transferee’s sealing (authenticated seal) on vehicle transfer certificate
  • ※ In case certificate verifying the authenticity of signature for purpose of vehicle transfer is issued, signature in identical handwriting with that on the certificate verifying the authenticity of signature on vehicle transfer certificate, rather than sealing (authenticated seal)
  • A power of attorney sealed or signed (in case certificate verifying the authenticity of signature is issued) by transferee

    Acquisition·registration tax invoice issued (Taxation 2 department)

  • 04

    Acquisition·registra- tion tax paid and mandatory purchase of bond and stamp (bank)

  • 05

    Payment confirmed and registration certificate issued

※ Any vehicle ownership transfer for foreigner is basically eligible only for foreigners who completed reporting domestic residence. In case of any seizure on the vehicle due to unpaid penalties or taxes, transfer registration shall be permitted only after full removal of such encumbrances.
